Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking an Associate Buyer/Expeditor to join our team. This position is based out of our Glenolden, PA facility.

Eaton’s Glenolden, PA facility is located just 15 miles southwest of Philadelphia and has approximately 145 employees (and growing). This World Class Manufacturing facility is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of electronic debris monitoring devices for the military and commercial aerospace industry.

Position Overview:

The Associate Buyer/Expeditor purchases and programs based in North America. This position will maintain an essential balance between plant operations, delivery expectations, and cost reduction metric opportunities across the plant.

In this function you will:

  • Process purchase orders for purchased items, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
  • Contact suppliers via phone to obtain prices, specifications, assess capabilities and vendor capacity.
  • Work with identified vendors for improved delivery.
  • Support Planners in shortage meetings to expedite purchased items (where required) to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements.
  • Prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Manage priority jobs as they come in from vendors.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution OR a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of one to two years in a supply chain role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic PC Skills
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Glenolden, PA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
