Assistant Family Service Worker

(Transportation Aide)

The Department of Children and Families (DCF), Division of Child Protection and Permanency, is seeking qualified individuals to fill Assistant Family Service Worker 1 (Transportation Aide) positions located throughout the State of New Jersey.

RESPONSIBILITIES


In this role, you will transport clients to various appointments and visits. Other responsibilities include:


* Assist clients with home and money management

* Set up medical or dental appointments

* Family planning services and parenting techniques

* Receive complaints involving desertion and abusive parents

* Supplementary supportive visits with clients under the supervision of a case worker

* Conduct field audits to evaluate and assess situations

* Perform other related duties


REQUIREMENTS


EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in social services providing services to clients which may include providing basic information, services like transportation and overseeing visitation, and gathering information regarding history to ascertain client needs.


NOTE: Thirty (30) semester hour credits from an accredited college, which must include twelve (12) semester hour credits in the behavioral sciences, may be substituted for one (1) year of the experience listed above.

SALARY RANGE: $33,923.18 - $47,202.86

STARTING SALARY: $33,923.18 - $38,349.74 based on experience.
