What you'll be doing...

As the Senior Manager, you will be leading and managing a cross functional and converged team of approximately 4-6 Supervisors and 80-110 employees who are responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of Verizon's Local and Long Distance network infrastructure, customer premise equipment, and mechanical (power and HVAC). You will be responsible for assuring day to day network performance and reliability for the best customer experience in the market. This role includes the training and continued development of your team and their sites in their entirety, along with organizing and scheduling the resources necessary to support a broad range of network elements and disciplines. Managing the operation and maintenance of all technologies necessary to expand and evolve the network to meet customer demand for new and improved service offerings.

  • Developing organizational capabilities to anticipate, plan and execute on One Fiber deployment in geographic areas to ensure achievement of associated performance and financial objectives.
  • Building strong relationships with Engineering, Wireless, Wireline lines of business (Wholesale, Enterprise, Small Business), and external partners to ensure the highest level of success across all organizational objectives.
  • Establishing and implementing objectives while ensuring that the organization meets specified company goals and key performance indicators.
  • Handling all activities in geographic areas impacting organizational personnel, including personnel decisions, administrative responsibilities, and relationship building with the union.
  • Implementing new practices to create efficiencies within the organization; communicates and translates functional/operational goals into team goals and manages implementation of policies and procedures.

You enjoy leading and developing a team to make a big impact in a large, fast paced environment.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule (shifts) including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Master's degree.
  • Proven leadership, managerial, and administrative skills with the ability to motivate employees with highly diverse skill sets and work experience.
  • Experience in managing budget and operating margins.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with Cross-Functional Teams, Regional Field teams, Wireless, Wireline Lines of Business (Wholesale, Enterprise, Small Business) and External Partners.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and produce quality results managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $116,000.00 and $215,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
