Summary, Focus and Purpose
Our West Point Technical Services is searching for highly motivated individuals to provide engineering technical support for a vaccine manufacturing facility. The role encompasses technical operations support with primary focus in the area of vision inspection that include, but are not limited to analysis of inspection process-derived data to support trouble-shooting and process/equipment optimization, identification and implementation of process improvements, and support for regulatory inspections.
Specific assignments maybe focused in one operating area or span across multiple operating areas. Limited additional shift or weekend coverage may be required based on specific assignments.
Key Functions

Optimizing product specific inspection programs for detection of defective material and reduction of product discards
Conduct proactive process monitoring to identify trends and potential process improvements
Process and process equipment troubleshooting, change control authoring and continuing validation support
Providing on-the-floor support of operational and technical issues; providing immediate responses on the shop floor to vision inspection related issues
Collaboration across IPT functional areas to ensure robust processing, continuous improvement and cross-functional team building
Completing projects to improve process performance, including continuous process improvements, Corrective/Preventative Actions (CAPAs), and value capture projects that seek to improve yield, reduce cost, or lower our processing cycle times
Supporting team and IPT safety, environmental, and compliance objectives
Managing change request and project timelines to ensure key compliance and customer due dates are met; escalating any potential misses and develop remediation plans when possible
Actively using and championing the use of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and our Company Production System (CPS) tools, both in problem solving and day-to-day operational activities
Authors and updates technical and manufacturing documents necessary for support of investigations, process design/definition, engineering studies, process demonstrations, change control and validation
Education
BS/MS in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biological sciences or related discipline
Required Experience | Skills | Knowledge
One year of in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related engineering disciplines
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
Highly developed communication, leadership, technical writing, and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience | Skills | Knowledge
Experience with manual or automated vision inspection
Change control experience
Experience in biologics or vaccine sterile manufacturing facilities in a process or validation support role

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
