Accountable for implementing and supporting strategic information systems that enable Global Drug Development (GDD) functions, specifically focusing on the Regulatory and Safety ecosystems. This role owns end-to-end responsibility for managing the build and run of GDD technology assets, Vault Regulatory and Safety specifically, ensuring they are reliable, accessible, and secure.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns end-to-end accountability for managing technology assets, ensuring they are reliable, accessible, and secure
  • Function as a liaison between Business System Owner, Process Owner, and IT Capability Owner
  • Works with IT Business Partners to define, plan, prioritize, deliver, and support strategic digital capabilities and ensure maximum value is achieved
  • Leading operational activities such as maintenance and break-fix releases, security assessments, regulatory risk assessments, incident response, etc.
  • Fulfills all approved, technology asset-specific business needs
  • Designs technical solutions to satisfy business requirements
  • Manages the build and run of technology assets
  • Influences vendor roadmaps to align with BMS strategy
  • Ensures timely and successful delivery of build projects as Digital Capability Manager (DCM)
  • Prioritization and Stakeholder Management: Ability to understand, prioritize, and communicate IT needs to our business colleagues and stakeholders

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related work experiences in a Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences environment.
  • Veeva Vault experience preferred
  • BS/BA in Computer Science (or other quantitative related discipline) or equivalent experience
  • Broad technology and implementation experience, strong working knowledge of Pharmaceutical R&D business functions, particularly in Regulatory and/or Safety is a plus
  • Demonstrated project management skills, the ability to drive performance, achieve results, and effectively manage relationships in a highly matrixed organization. PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, networking and facilitation skills are also essential
  • Implementing complex technical solutions, leading cross-functional teams, and developing applications following structured SDLC processes in a regulated environment
  • Experience in IT within a GxP environment
  • Working with offshore software development models
  • Business analysis, requirements specifications, and portfolio planning, with high degree of organization and the ability to prioritize and schedule multiple workloads
  • Ability to achieve successful consensus among differing priorities and stakeholders in both the IT and Business communities
  • Proven track record in effective cross-functional, multi-site, matrixed environments
  • Working knowledge of systems validation (SDLC) process
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
