The Senior Director Cell Therapy Supply Chain Operations & Performance position is a critical leadership team role within Cell Therapy Supply Chain facilitating overall CT Supply Chain performance, advancing key business processes and initiatives, and helping communicate our story to stakeholders everywhere.

Position Summary:

The Senior Director Cell Therapy Supply Chain Operations & Performance position is a critical leadership team role within Cell Therapy Supply Chain facilitating overall CT Supply Chain performance, advancing key business processes and initiatives, and helping communicate our story to stakeholders everywhere.

This leader will facilitate Cell Therapy Supply Chain LT processes to establish goals and objectives, annual budget planning, functional strategy and roadmap. This role will also have leadership responsibility to establish and execute the new end to end business processes that will interface up to top leadership levels of CT Operations & Franchise LT’s as well as GPS & BMS LT levels. These processes include CT Performance Management, Business Continuity Management, and end to end Cycle Time improvement initiative. These business process responsibilities require end to end coordination and leadership across the full CT network.

This role requires a high energy leader with a strong background in operations excellence and biotech supply chain who can shape and implement business process solutions, pragmatically manage implementation and change, and leverage KPI’s for end to end supply chain performance improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee the CTO Weekly Product Supply Review process – which will establish new weekly KPI set to CTO-LT, with representation from the end to end cell therapy supply chain.

  • Facilitate effective CT-SC LT operation as chief of staff to CT-SC VP. Goals & Objectives, Strategy & Roadmap, Annual Budget process, Communications.

  • Assume leadership for the TAT 2.0 initiative (Turnaround Time) which is a CT strategic program managing multiple workstreams across the end-to-end CT value stream (Aph–Make 1–Make 2–QC/QA–Delivery). Provide program leadership to prioritize, escalate, problem solve, report progress, and propose KPI/Objectives.

  • Support development and maintenance of CT-SC functional strategy and roadmap, leveraging external perspectives where possible.

  • Facilitate deployment of the GPS Business Continuity Process for CTO. Liase across CTGM sites and CTO functions and teams to coordinate annual deliverables which will be endorsed up through CTO, GPS, and BMS-LT levels

  • Support the change management journey – help develop and deliver compelling messages to internal and external audiences

  • Develop a high talent direct report team (approx. 2-4 FTE)

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • 10+ years of related experience in biotech / biopharma manufacturing, quality, development, or supply chain / value chain.

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain / value chain – how functional processes and KPI’s connect and interrelate. Familiar or experienced with Balanced scorecard concepts.

  • Proven leadership experience in deploying and executing new end-to-end supply chain processes with clear KPI level performance improvement

  • Analytical skills – able to develop effective information views, synthesize summary performance messages from lower level data

  • Communication skills – able to develop presentation content appropriate for different audiences including non-technical and senior management audiences

  • Change management competency – familiar with concepts, examples of being a successful positive change agent / change leader

  • Strong cross functional collaboration skills

  • Flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity

  • Ability to problem-solve and work in complex environment

  • Operational Excellence experience in manufacturing and supply chain considered beneficial
