Job Description

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. We have multiple Operations Technician positions available at our Animal Health facility in Elkhorn, Nebraska, located on the West end of Omaha. The Elkhorn facility is expanding operations to manufacture animal vaccines and biologics. Looking for talented individuals to join our Production teams using key technologies for cell culture, blending, filling and packaging.

The Operations Technicians are accountable for critical laboratory procedures and duties in the production of veterinary products. Technicians work with a variety of technical equipment while completing duties involved in blending, filling vials or packaging finished products for distribution. At all times technicians must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and adhere to all safety and company policies while performing assigned duties

Overview

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years of applicable work experience

Required Experience and Skills:

The position requires someone who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail and achieve a consistent error-free execution of daily job assignments, be able to complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices and be able to identify opportunities for process improvement and employ basic problem-solving skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Math aptitude

  • Strong work ethic

  • Ability to lift 50lbs on an intermittent basis

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good documentation practices

  • Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of cGMP and inventory control concepts isstrongly preferred.

  • An understanding of aseptic techniques and procedures is preferred.

  • College degree in a relevant scientific field (biology / chemistry, life science)
