Job Description

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. However, subject to applicable law, employees working in roles that the Company determines require routine collaboration with external stakeholders, such as employees in health services, customer facing commercial, or research-based roles, will be required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment.

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

  • Responsible for ensuring that production of scheduled orders, labeling and packaging operations are completed efficiently, safely and that the product conforms to quality standards.

  • Ensures that all production workstations tasks are being performed in an efficient manner on a timely basis with the desired quality.

  • Assist with cleaning laser/ink jet stamping machines as necessary

  • Works with material handler to ensure material and supplies are available for the shift.

  • Assist with machine adjustments as necessary to produce orders.

  • Assigns Line Operators with daily tasks. ensures that procedures are followed on the floor.

  • Communicates production priorities to the operators.

  • Assist with on boarding and training of new operators.

  • Maintains housekeeping and monitors that all machine operators do the same.

  • Works with Maintenance Supervisor and Warehousing Personnel to ensure all production and mechanical needs are met for timely production of quality products.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all packaging is available and correct.

  • Responsible for QC inspection of finish product when work is completed and takes action to prevent any quality issues.

  • Responsible for recording downtime accurately and that operators record their downtime accurately.

  • Follows established conduct, procedures and safety rules for the area and ensures that assigned machine operators do the same.

  • Responsible for knowing all Safety requirements of position and production and relates information and monitors that machine operators do the same.

  • Uses equipment in the area properly, reports any malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Read and interpret SOPs for production area and assist operators with this.

  • Watch for and take prompt action, including shutting down the workstation temporarily, when operational malfunctions are seen which could jeopardize the quality of the tags being produced.

  • When the workstation is shut down, prompt action will be taken to secure help in correcting the malfunction and getting the workstation back up and running in the shortest time possible.

  • Be able to maintain a required and acceptable daily output as determined by the job and machine worked on.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant work experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in operating a computer, including the ability to operate a mouse, pull a file and demonstrate ability to learn new basic computer skills.

  • Able to communicate job related issues within the company by using company email.

  • Demonstrate ability to learn new basic computer skills.

  • Proficiency in basis math skills such as able to count, handle numbers, add and subtract.

  • Must have good manual dexterity.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and understand SOPs and follow instructions.

  • Ability to drive a forklift is a plus.
