Job Description:

Leidos is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to serve within the Program Management Office for a large-scale language services and operational support program in Vienna, VA. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, leading, and otherwise supporting a cadre of language officers dispersed across multiple geographical areas – including warzones – with minimal day-to-day supervision from the PM.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Leidos Program Manager to serve as first line supervisor for team of approximately two dozen linguist personnel supporting a global, high-impact customer mission.

  • Plan and coordinate all facets of travel for linguist personnel, including airfare, lodging, visas/passports, vouchers/reimbursement, and required training for customer TDYs.

  • Respond to time-sensitive and highly fluid situations involving Leidos employees overseas, including personnel serving in warzones and other high-threat environments.

  • Coordinate daily with Leidos and customer leadership to ensure all mission requirements and performance expectations are being satisfactorily met.

  • Maintain substantive and situational awareness of international events, which have the potential to affect Leidos employees’ safety while TDY on behalf of the customer.

  • Review and approve timesheets for approximately two dozen employees on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring correct utilization of time codes, differential pay, and extra work week (EWW).

  • Provide guidance to assist employees with professional development and growth.

  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for Leidos team members.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

  • Candidates must possess strong written and oral English skills.

  • Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, including confidence to engage with senior levels of management (Leidos and customer).

  • Candidates must be comfortable functioning in a highly dynamic work environment, to include responding to short-fuse requests and tight deadlines from customer leadership.

  • Candidates must be able to perform effectively in both individual and team environments, including in highly diverse, multicultural settings.

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working within the U.S. Intelligence Community or U.S. Military, especially in roles dedicated to HUMINT and/or counter-terrorism missions.

  • Experience supporting a language services program and/or working directly with language officers, resulting in familiarity with the language services mission, needs, and common challenges.

  • Experience planning or conducting TDYs on behalf of a U.S. Government or Military customer.

  • Prior travel overseas and/or overseas residence – either personal or professional.

  • Knowledge of foreign languages and cultures, especially exposure to Arabic language and the Middle East.

Education Requirements

  • BA degree or equivalent and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Pay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
