Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to take part of the increasing focus in International growth, by supporting the 19 countries in the Major Markets region thru a period of accelerated product launches and new capabilities development. The Director of Strategy & Operations (S&O) MM will be responsible of driving business performance by streamlining operations and ensuring opportune collaboration between the country matrix teams, the MM regional functional team and our WW partners. This individual will work closely with the MM S&O Executive Director to bring multiple strategic planning, commercial model evolution and innovative business projects to fruition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to drive launches, develop new capabilities and support resource optimization initiatives across the region
    • Serve as regional point-of contact for in-line WW Brand Teams
    • Partner with the WCC team to inform strategy and guide project roll out
    • Support innovative Go-to Market Model workstreams
    • Partner with regional and in-market teams to drive the key-driver analyses (KDA) and disseminate learnings
    • Co-lead planning and execution of regional culture initiatives
    • Support D&I initiatives for the region aligned with corporate strategy

  • Lead the design and execution of key Regional deliverables
    • Manage Major Market Leadership Team Meetings
    • Lead planning and execution of the regional annual Winners Circle sales incentive award
    • Drive the Country - Regional S&O Forum
    • Execute the Regional Town Hall meetings
    • Serve as leader of the Regional Field Leadership Council, in partnership with Worldwide Training and Talent Development
    • Support market visits planning, launch readiness reviews, CLT, LT and BoD updates

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Marketing, Sales and/or Consulting experience preferred
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent. MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence by establishing an aligned set of deliverables, contingency plans and metrics, preferably in above market organizations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies towards achieving common goals
  • Adept communicator with the ability to express articulately, credibly and convincingly, both in person and virtually
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, as well as to design and implement multiple projects simultaneously
  • Availability for moderate international travel

This role offers the opportunity to play a leading part in BMS international expansion, the possibility to broaden above and in-market experience, as well as the chance to further develop launch and commercial experience. The awarded candidate will also gain a thorough understanding of the collaboration within the cross-functional Regional, WW and in-market teams.
