Bristol Myers Squibb’s Cell Therapy business is entering an exciting new phase as it begins the commercialization of its first CAR-T products. Commercialization drives new scope, scale, and complexity across the network, and requires manufacturing sites, global organizations, and IT systems to work together in new ways.

The Business Operations Manager for Cell Therapy Business Process Management provides business operations support to the Project & Portfolio Management team. This role contributes to the success of the PPM team by supporting resource reporting, objectives tracking, budget planning/execution, contract management, SharePoint and Smartsheet administration, and systems access support.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversees the management of resource reporting (identifying bottlenecks and risks).

  • Assists the development and tracking of annual objectives, working with the leadership team in objective setting exercises, tracking progress against objectives, and recording metrics.

  • Partners with Business Process Owners and project management lead to collect, format, and interpret data and information for budgeting exercises.

  • Monitors the annual department budget and assigned project budgets, including providing trend analysis and insights.

  • Develops resources to aid in budget planning (e.g. templates, estimating tools, historical reporting).

  • Collaborates with sourcing and procurement teams to drive efficient, consistent, and compliant processes for departmental contract management.

  • Delivers process and tool improvements as assigned.

  • Administers departmental/team SharePoint and Smart Sheet, including access management.

  • Provides general business operations support for Business Process Management (e.g., facilitate staff meetings, manage shared inbox, review/coordinate updates for departmental content, etc.)

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in pharmaceutical, IT or associated area and 5-8 years of related work experience

  • Prior experience managing and planning budgets & external vendors

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement across multiple functions.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and executive-level messaging skills.

  • Capable of bringing structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution management.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet (preferred)

  • Ability to travel <10%
