Senior Operations Coordinator

What will you do?

The Senior Operations Coordinator is responsible for the communication, planning, and executing activities of Ashley Logistic Services (ALS) for our partner carriers' cost, service, and success. The day-to-day responsibility is accepting customer loads, scheduling loads, tendering loads to partner carriers, and tracking/tracing both Ashley and customer freight. The Senior Operations Coordinator will be responsible for providing exceptional service and communication to internal and external customers. The position will work closely with Account Management, Distribution Centers, and Customer Service. The role will act as an escalation point for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Act as an escalation point for internal and external parties, facilitate tough conversations associated with the challenges of transportation

Develop and maintain training materials and program for new associates, ensuring the content provides all necessary tools.

Responsible for performance within a designated geographical area

Ownership of important operational focus, such as Track and Trace, Load Planning, or Customer Service

Support a team of 4 – 7 associates (not a supervisor or manager)

Act as the spokesperson for Operations within Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.

This role is a “steppingstone” from associate to manager

Monitor group emails to ensure timely responses from associates

Ensure motivation and morale is high on the Operations Floor
