The Contract Operations Sr. Specialist – US Market Access Contract Operations is responsible for contract adjudication, analysis, and coordination activities in support of Managed Care customers. This position will support Organon’s contracted customers including but not limited to Health Plans, Pharmacy Benefit Managers, Hospital and IDN customers and will require robust technical skills, business, and financial acumen. The highest level of compliance with contract terms and conditions, regulatory requirements, and laws is required, while also striving for strong business partnership and customer transaction excellence.

The ideal candidate will support our customers and Third-Party agents in the administration, performance reporting, and analytics for specific customer agreements entered into by Managed Markets Commercial Operations that involve discounts, rebates, and other payments based on the purchase and use of Organon products.

This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the accuracy of calculated discounts as well as compliance of contract terms and conditions including mandated Government Pricing Programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide meaningful analyses to US Market Access Contract Strategy team in support of strategic objectives.

  • Contribute to the broader US Market Accounts Management team project portfolio, including implementation of and contributions to the team's best practices and training initiatives.

  • Implement standardized processes and simplify wherever possible to drive efficiency within Managed Markets Contract Operations team.

  • Deliver informed analyses of Contract Performance to Market Access & Account Management (MA&AP) in support of new and existing Contract Strategies

  • Provide subject matter expertise in collaboration with US Pricing and Commercial Business Consulting organization to ensure a strong master data control environment.

  • Support special projects requiring Managed Markets knowledge such as system changes, analyses of market events, and business development activities.

  • Support our company's external reporting through critical control activities and analyses.

  • Support contract administration and rebate payment processing for a diverse range of customers, including validation of data and assessment of customer compliance with contract terms.

  • Create and enforce policies for effective data management

  • Use of Organon systems to support the contract administration and rebate payment processing for assigned customers.

  • Contract language/term and condition advisement and consultation with key stakeholders.

  • Planning and executing appropriate research activities required to provide and validate data needed for recommendations on existing and proposed contract issues.

  • Development and implementation of data, models, and processes to evaluate, analyze and support contract development, compliance, performance and pull-through activities.

  • Presentation of results to internal customers, including Managed Markets & Contract Strategy, and coordination with external customers on the adjudication of rebates.

  • Advanced analytical and reporting support for the contracted customers requiring in-depth knowledge of customer segments data and business dynamics.

  • Analytical and reporting support for legal requests as well as internal/external audits.

  • Building and developing internal and external customer relationships.

  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.

  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.

  • Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.

  • Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards.

  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Required Experience and Skills:

At least 5 years in Managed Care - Specifically, the Managed Care marketplace for pharmaceutical product distribution, sales, contracting and discounting with Providers (GPO, Hospitals and Specialty Pharmacy’s) as well as Payors (PBMs and Health Plans) and Government Entities.
