The position

The Marketing Director will be accountable for directing long-term precision medicine strategy development, business development initiatives as well as all key operational aspects of global precision medicine team. The role is further reliable for

Supporting key strategic precision medicine initiatives that span across the enterprise. The Marketing Director will work closely with the Precision Medicine

Leadership Team (PMLT), Global Disease Leads, Oncology Strategy & Operations team, Finance & Forecasting, our Company Research Laboratories as well BD&L

This Marketing Director position requires broad knowledge of Diagnostics & Precision Medicine marketplace. The position also requires solid comprehension of business case development, Dx deal valuation and construction within a broad range of diagnostic technologies, hereunder NGS, IHC, PCR, etc. The marketing Director is expected to possess good foresight of market trends and consequences, comprehend political and regulatory landscapes, be future oriented and able to articulate risk vs. benefit to create motivated, breakthrough diagnostic partnering strategies.

Key assignments:

  • Partner with PMLT to build and maintain Long Term Precision Medicine Strategy. Partner with marketing research and CI teams to build and maintain precision medicine market trends in technology, regulatory and reimbursement trends.

  • Work with management to promote key enterprise-wide precision medicine strategic initiatives.

  • Sponsor global Dx business & diligence activities as part of corporate business development initiatives.

  • Partner with finance and operations team to develop and deploy standardized Dx forecasting tools.

  • Working effectively with all cross-functional internal partners including HH, MRL, Finance & Forecasting, as well as BD&L & corporate strategy group to successfully navigate the internal and external environments.

Key management Competencies:

  • A dynamic director with significant business acumen and demonstrated leadership in development of diagnostic strategies, partnership with Dx Digital & pharma partners, valuation of opportunities, negotiations, and entrepreneurship.

  • Possesses inspirational personal management qualities that inspire reliance, respect, credibility and poise of peers, colleagues, and diagnostic & pharma partners.

  • Proven ability to effectively direct teams through decision-making processes, hereunder due diligences taking in to account appropriate data analysis and critical information.

  • Ability to drive and manage through organizational change and periods of ambiguity and with a willingness to challenge the status quo.



  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Preferred: MSc, PhD, and/or MBA

Required Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry knowledge (Pharma and Diagnostic)

  • Strong Pharma or Diagnostic knowledge within Oncology

  • Strategy and Consulting background preferred.

  • Solid market (landscape) comprehension and knowledge in precision medicine; strong appreciation of technology & industry trends in precision

  • Knowledge of business case development and forecasting tools

  • Strong cross-functional and informal management skills in problem solving, teamwork, analytical, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work with many areas of marketing management including strategy development, competitive dynamics, and issues management in a highly complex and dynamic environment.

The position will be based in Rahway, USA.

25% Travel, including some weekends.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected salary range:

$175,440.00 - $276,200.00
