Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Distribution Technology - Solution Architect at IBM, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic, high-stakes projects driving significant improvements with our clients. Our teams lead each phase of the consulting engagement lifecycle.
You will work directly with our customers on project teams to lead the selection, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of supply chain distribution technology solutions. Project teams generally consist of consultants, subcontractors, remote global resources, and client employees. You will also be involved in business development activities such as of project proposal creation to help grow the business.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 12 years of design and implementation experience in supply chain technology with a minimum of 6+ in warehouse or transportation management systems.
- Advanced configuration or programming experience in (Java, Python, C#) and databases (SQL / Oracle) queries and stored procedures.
- Direct experience delivering a supply chain distribution technology solution, including but not limited to WMS (e.g. WMOS, PkMS, RedPrairie/JDA/BlueYounder, HighJump/Korber), TMS (e.g. Oracle, SAP, BlueYonder, Kuebix).

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- At least 5 years of experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/design
- At least 4 years of WMS or TMS project implementation experience and integration with other process areas
- Strong WMS SME with knowledge of Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, cycle counting, and MHE integration
- Strong TMS SME with knowledge of tactical planning and optimization, freight procurement, load design, asset-based/fleet-based routing and scheduling, appointment scheduling, multileg/multimodal international shipping, intermodal and rail, multicarrier parcel management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead team in resolving complex issues in a fast pace and challenging environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with project management

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
