About the Role

The AD, Marketing Operations Delivery & Enablement (MODE) drives operational alignment, enablement, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement of Marketing Operations (MO) business processes across assigned brands/therapeutic area. This critical role will be assigned to multiple brands and one Therapeutic Area (TA), serving on those respective Integrated Marketing Strategy Teams (IMST) as the “point person” to identify, communicate, plan, direct, and/or lead designated MO services and to ensure operational efficiency across IMO and other supporting functions (i.e.: Finance, Procurement, external partners, etc.). This individual will partner closely with IMO Marketing Strategy and Customer Experience, as well as other functional areas, to monitor operational excellence and contribute to ad-dressing partner feedback with recommended MO/MODE business process enhancements. This role will oversee multiple complex internal/external services and capabilities across various functions, strategic partners, and time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish collaborative relationships with Marketing Strategy, Customer Experience Planning and Optimization, and COEs within Integrated Marketing to achieve delivery excellence. Provide insight and input into marketing operation opportunities to optimize the effectiveness of marketing plans and drive greater agility and flexibility.

• Provide input and facilitate end-to-end business process assessments, making recommendations and facilitating the implementation of new marketing operation pivotal initiatives in collaboration with relevant marketing operation functions.

• Analyze operational critical metrics, CoE KPIs and co-create improvement plans in partnership with each CoE lead.

• Develop and implement program governance for CoE solutions that support the business in the achievement of transformational and operational priorities. Be a voice of discipline and structure to enable the development and deployment of operational solutions that meet the needs of the business.

• Enables service innovations within the marketing operation areas and COE operational models, related to Integrated Marketing Organization

• Lead and govern end-to-end execution of CoE deliverables in close collaboration with marketing strategist, customer experience team, and agency partners. Provide input and help manage the implementation of the marketing plan in close collaboration with the Marketing Strategist, Customer Experience team, CoEs, and agency partners. Partner with Marketing Strategist and Customer Experience team to understand marketing plans priorities and work with marketing opera-tions team for effective resource planning & utilization.

• Monitor new ways of working with CoEs and ensure best practices are followed by agency partners across allocated brands/TA and efficiency goals are achieved

• Be the change agent for the successful implementation of marketing operation priorities with the IMO function and agency partners. Identify and lead the delivery excellence opportunities for operational solutions that support our mission of reimagining medicine to deliver better patient out-comes.

• Lead and manage scope and financial operation activities in close collaboration with Marketing Strategist and Finance teams. Lead teams to define deliverables and monitor time management.

• Align on work required to support Scientific Events activities at a global, regional, and local level where required.

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered. This position will require up to 10% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international)

Role Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is required

Essential Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Operations, Sales, or Marketing, with multi-functional experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industries preferred

• Led and implemented Commercial and/or Marketing Operations and respective best practices across the pharmaceutical industry

• Demonstrated a high degree of competence in all elements of the role listed above

• Worked effectively across functions as a collaborative teammate, demonstrating achievement of common goals

• Demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and skills including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and coach others, and oversee, and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

• Ability to thrive in integrated and complex organization

Desirable requirements:

• Master of Science or MBA preferred

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000 and $216,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
