Job Description

The Position

The Associate Director, Regional Benefits Operations will lead a team of professional HR Service Delivery and Benefits Specialists in our Shared Service Center delivering and administering shared benefit programs and services across our organization globally. The incumbent will have a key role in overseeing benefits processes, and also taking in new benefits services in the shared services arena in Organon in an effort to deliver optimum employee experience from our shared service center to all of Organon’s regions. This team lead will help to build a strong governance and key stakeholder relationships, and will establish stable, effective, standardized and controlled process delivery to our internal clients and founders. The role reports into Organon’s HR Services Hub Lead.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading an internal team of 3 or more HR / Benefits Specialists who are accountable for day-to-day delivery and administration of a variety of internal benefits and services to our founders.
  • Oversees the assessment and analysis of new, incoming forms of benefits administration work as to overall suitability for entry in the company’s HR/Benefits shared services organization; Implements the transition of such work into our Benefits Delivery scope of services converting from conventional to efficient, scalable governed processes.
  • Coaching and alignment of service center team to assure adherence to agreed service levels (quantitative and qualitative) instilling desired ways of working and applying metrics and analysis to continuously measure delivery performance and process health.
  • Oversees supplier relationships with various outsourced benefits service providers in partnership with ‘COEs’ – Centers of Expertise; Partners with suppliers to ensure seamless, high quality service is delivered to our organization
  • Development and ownership of appropriate KPIs and visualization tools to measure and show the performance of the Benefits Delivery team
  • Strong focus on employee experience and continuous improvement of service processes within the benefits programs delivered
  • Ensuring team alignment and seamless partnership with both in-market HR teams as well as corporate Benefits ‘COE’ center of expertise teams
  • Disposition of escalated service issues, identifying a resolution path and sharing the outcome with internal stakeholders to foster efficient collaboration and build trust in our services
  • Ownership of a central knowledge base for Benefits Delivery processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 7+ years of experience in a complex multinational business environment, ideally with specific experience in Benefits Administration and shared services
  • Experience leading a regional / global team for at least 2-3 years.
  • Experience in the implementation of shared service strategies and work processes, or the conversion of conventional HR process to a shared service model
  • Experience partnering with business process outsource providers and supplier relationships to deliver excellent service to internal organizations
  • Stakeholder Management: building and sustaining relationships with key internal stakeholders, support teams and vendors.
  • Strong influencing skills - ability to navigate among many different stakeholders at global levels and across functions.
  • Strong Process orientation - problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
