Job Details
Engineering Technician
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support for broadcast systems as well as support and management of Servers, Network Security and Network Services.
- Support for transmission systems, be familiar with tall towers, awareness of FCC rules and procedures
- Assist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenance.
- Develop knowledge of facility specific IT/broadcast needs and assist in supporting those systems.
- Apply regular updates to broadcast and IT systems.
Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in electronics or computer related field.
- 2 – 4 years of related broadcast experience.
- A great team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality.
- Familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems a plus.
- Knowledge and competency in broadcast systems, computer system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting problems and responding quickly under pressure.
Excellent communication skills. - Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Familiarity with Avid related software and hardware products a plus.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed.
- On-Call duty, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to handle small tools and lift equipment generally less than 50 pounds.
