Job Description

The HR Service Delivery Disability Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of US employee leaves to ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state leave regulations, while providing instruction, guidance and excellent customer service to managers and human resources professionals. This role will also provide leadership of both in-house and outsourced supplier teams. The role reports directly to the Associate Director, Human Resources Operations.


The HR Service Delivery Disability Manager’s core responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinate and manage all company leaves of absence, including FMLA, disability, paid parental time off, personal leave, military leave, jury duty, bereavement leave, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for and manage all leave inquiries, educating managers and HR Business Partners on the leave process and related policies.
  • Responsible for leading a team of HR professionals who coordinate the return-to-work process, provide policy and benefit interpretation, and perform Organizational Management consultation.
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of federal and state leave laws and regulations; propose revisions to internal documents, policies and communications as necessary to ensure company compliance.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, legal, and COE’s to resolve issues and escalations.
  • Lead the Disability supplier relationship for overall program support, knowledge, documentation, etc. with a focus on process improvement and innovation.
  • Manage the US Workplace Accommodations program. Develop, generate and present reports on a regular basis to analyze accommodation data and trends.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years relevant experience.


Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier relationship management.
  • Minimum 3 years managing accommodations requests.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in employee benefits as they relate to leaves of absence, including short/long term disability, COBRA, state disability pay, etc.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter, fast learner with ability to work independently and make decisions under limited supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • High degree of integrity, ethics, professionalism, and applied judgment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing both outsourced and insourced Service Delivery teams. Previous experience managing a staff that is disbursed across multiple locations.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Units.
  • Workday and ServiceNow experience.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed HR Operations organization. Proven knowledge and understanding of the HR Operating model in a global organization.
  • Compliance and audit experience preferred.
