Do it here.What youll be doing...As a Verizon Professional Services Technical Delivery Architect - Wi-Fi (WLAN), you will be providing both strategic guidance and overall technical integration responsibility for Professional Service (PS) engagements. You will fill the role as trusted advisor with key clients, as well as support new clients and new opportunities, including developing new professional service offerings. The role also includes preparing statements of work for complex engagements and review of statements of work and final deliverables.In addition, you will work closely with sales engineers, consultants, project managers, and executive management in development of overall Wi-Fi network strategy. You will be a thought leader in delivery functions and will lead a team of highly technical and experienced Engineers focused on delivering professional services within the Verizon services portfolio focused on Wi-Fi and wired network consulting, design, and deployment.+ Provide technical leadership in design and administration decisions for infrastructure and systems.+ Provide support to Verizon product development and PS offering teams.+ Develop and provide a clear, accurate and comprehensive Scope of Work documents and designs that can be used as input to customer proposals and/or RFP responses and provide necessary detail and expectations to ensure an effective hand-off to the delivery team.+ Translate customer requirements into an executable Statement of Work, leveraging Third-Party vendors, contractors, as well as internal resources.+ Provide leadership in design and execution of product agnostic professional service engagements.+ Provide technical sales support for advanced network solutions to all sales groups and customer verticals.+ Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and leads effort to design and deliver automated solutions to reduce or eliminate manual methods.+ Develop standardized service offerings, based on well-defined assumptions and clearly articulated deliverables, in order to maximize value obtained from presales scoping resources and scale the business.+ Work independently and be accountable for project or program results.+ Develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.+ Lead transformational projects that are interconnected to other parts of the business.What were looking for...Youll need to have:+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.+ Experience within Wireless/Mobility/Cellular networks and Networking/Internetworking devices, protocols and operating systems, wireless network engineering and other data communications fields.+ Expert experience with Wi-Fi and network systems from top manufacturers - Extreme Networks, Cisco, Aruba HPE+ Architecture, design, and development experience of end to end Wi-Fi Solutions.+ Willingness to travel.Even better if you have:+ MBA.+ Ten or more years of experience in consulting/professional services, with client contact at senior levels and demonstrated business development skills.+ Professional or higher level industry certifications within the network engineering field such as CCNP (Wi-Fi), JNCIP (any track), CCIE.+ Demonstrated experience in network design ability to lead a WLAN design-related discussion with leading questions to fully vet a customers requirements and develop a proposed design and identify potential impacts of a given design recommendation.+ Knowledge of, and interest in, emerging technologies such as IoT, SDN, NFV, 5G, and MEC, with a focus on Enterprise use cases.+ Ability to prepare technical reports, client presentations, technical documentation and diagrams.+ Certifications: CCNP (Wireless) or CCIE/Wireless (preferred), ACMP or CWNP, or CMNA / CMNO.+ Proven experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.+ Experience leading projects through the entire project lifecycle.+ Experience designing and deploying Wi-Fi and network systems for large sports and entertainment venues.+ Experience in technical design and deployment with network physical layer 1 (Closet build. Implementation work in telecommunications closet. Cabling systems. Cable and fiber patching. Rack and stack of network equipment. Closet labeling - cables and network devices.
