Job Description

Our Sourcing team partners with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.

Our company's Global Supplier Management Group (GSMG) and Global Workplace Enterprise Services (GWES) team is seeking candidates for our early talent rotational program. Our team is responsible for engaging and developing suppliers to meet all our business needs, as well as acquiring, fitting out, operating and maintaining our global real estate portfolio in support of a productive workforce.

The goal of the Early Talent Rotational (ETR) Program in GSMG/GWES is to create a diverse, talented network of procurement and facilities professionals and business leaders/influencers. The program will offer these individuals a path of differentiated exposure and investment in order to develop their technical, business, and leadership capabilities so that they know our Company's business by supporting the various divisions (Research, Manufacturing, Sales/Marketing, Finance), understand procurement and facilities processes and will engage meaningfully to help positively affect the company economics and impact the value realization of GSMG/GWES.

We are looking for:

  • Perceptive, quick learners committed to helping to further our Company's vision and mission.

The program allows new hires to experience three rotations over a three year period in various business areas and work locations, likely in our PA & NJ offices, and possibly in MA or CA. Each individual will be partnered with a mentor who will be able to help with acculturation at our Company and career planning. Rotations are assigned based on the individual’s development interest, discussions with their mentor, and alignment with business needs.

Examples of areas you can work in are:

  • GWES: Capital Planning & Project Engineering – supporting capital planning process and/or working as a field engineer executing projects and facility design

  • GWES: Technology & Innovation – improving process through innovation, leveraging Technology and Data Analytics

  • GWES: Service Delivery – managing information our clients consume to provide the best possible experience

  • GWES: Facilities Management – learning how a facility operates through Utility Operations, Reliability Engineering, Energy/Sustainability and/or Site Maintenance

  • GSMG: Indirect Procurement – sourcing corporate services and products, examples: IT Solutions, Corporate Travel, Corporate Meetings, etc.

  • GSMG: Direct or Research Procurement – sourcing materials and services used in Research & Development and manufacturing of medicines

  • GSMG: Supplier Development & Performance Management – Partnering to improve the performance of our suppliers

  • GSMG: Economic Inclusion & Supplier Diversity – developing and leveraging diverse suppliers in non-traditional areas

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree graduate; experience in healthcare industry through internships or co-ops preferred

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred

  • Degree should be in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business, Computer Science (or similar)

  • Interest in procurement and/or engineering/facilities management

  • Proven analytical ability, leadership, integrity, and interpersonal skills

  • Eligibility to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship
