The Line of Business (LOB) Leaders report to the Executive Vice President of Product Management.

The three LOB Leaders are responsible for P&L management and strategic leadership of their respective lines of business (Homeowners, Auto, Valuables, Excess, Rec Marine, etc.). They also own tactical All Lines Product team leadership of specific field regions via management of their Regional Product Managers teams and Regional Product Analyst direct reports. Working jointly with Underwriting and Sales teams, the LOB Product SVP is responsible for profit and growth for their lines in North America.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sets clear Product strategies for their lines of business, to ensure development of products which are aligned with Chubb PRS target market, value added strategy and create a competitive advantage to drive growth.
  • Develops and implements catastrophe management strategies as needed.
  • Partners with the Catastrophe Modeling team to monitor areas of catastrophe and aggregation concerns and recommends appropriate business actions to achieve corporate goals.
  • Works closely with the Actuarial unit, develops and implements rating plans which meet target loss ratios, while maximizing competitive advantage to drive growth.
  • Develops and implements short and long-term pricing strategies which address both new business production and retention goals.
  • In partnership with the Field Sales and Underwriting teams, works to evaluate the competitive landscape, understand growth opportunities and challenges, working jointly to develop and implement product and pricing actions to maximize growth and profit.
  • In partnership with Chief Underwriting Officer, develops and implements underwriting guidelines which support target market strategy and enable appropriate underwriting referral review of risks which cannot be adequately priced or have catastrophe concerns.
  • Manages Regional Product Managers' staff development and performance, to achieve business unit goals.
  • Leads the recruiting, onboarding, training, development, and retention of Product team members, with the goal of elevating overall team performance, fostering staff leadership development, advancement, retention, and succession.
