Inside Sales & Service Representative
Inside Customer Sales and Service Representative for a wholesale food distribution company. Our customers are food distributors including national distribution companies, regional distribution companies, and independent jobbers. Our products range from nationally known lines to local specialty brands. We are currently located in South Philadelphia but this position will be moving to a newly built facility in Pottstown Pennsylvania in late 2023. The hours of this position are 5am-2pm Monday through Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Customer service including answering by phone and email customer questions regarding pricing, availability, and product descriptions.
-Presenting and explaining various product options and new lines.
-Taking orders and entering orders. Orders may be for immediate release or release on a future date.
-Invoicing customers once orders have been picked and assembled.
-Receiving checks/cash from customers as required by individual circumstances
-Printing and scanning confirmations and receipts once orders are entered or invoiced
Communication Skills:
Ability to talk with customers in a pleasant and clear manner. Sharing information with fellow workers, including the rest of the sales team, purchasing, accounts receivable and warehouse staff.
Requirements:
The ability and desire to learn about products we sell and about our customers. Computer skills including the Office suite and the ability to learn our order-taking software platform.
The ability to work and communicate helpfully and collegially with customers and co-employees.
Food industry, sales, or logistics experience preferred but not required.
