Position Summary

The Sr Manager, Payroll Projects and Integrations is responsible for the overall direction, execution, control, and completion of specific projects related to Americas Payroll and Time & Attendance systems. This role will ensure the projects remain consistent with BMS core values, company strategy, commitments, and goals. Additionally, this role will oversee the inbound/outbound payroll-related integrations and work as the liaison between the external vendors and the payroll provider. They will do research to determine what is causing integrations to fail and partner with vendors and the business to resolve any issues with the integrations.

Detailed Position Responsibilities

  • Build & maintain long-term relationships with customers & key stakeholders.
  • Partner effectively with vendor’s Project Manager and the AD, Americas Payroll to include regular meetings, continuous improvement plan, holding vendors accountable and ensuring tasks and actions are completed timely.
  • Work with Finance to resolve all GL interface queries
  • Manage all projects related to Americas Payroll and Time & Attendance systems including testing and implementation as required.
  • Coordinate Payroll and Time & Attendance system change requests related to integrations and payroll processing. Test those changes with the vendor and the business.Support and drive assigned Americas Payroll projects to transform payroll services including those related to the implementation of company and bargaining agreements in the payroll system per the requirements of the markets in scope.
  • Manage Payroll year end project & processes for all countries in the Americas Region
  • Work together with the AD, Americas Payroll to develop tactics, strategies, procedures, and workflows for the department’s activities to achieve the established objectives and offer quality services to both internal and external customers.
  • Communicate and influence across all internal teams and/or business partners
  • End to end processes and business understanding, including activities of other functions
  • Manage and document all Local Work Instructions (LWI) and Knowledge Base (KB) information.
  • Manage integration runs and work proactively with the business and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve all integration issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate with business to obtain clear documentation of the request when new integrations are required.
  • Manage all communication needs as part of projects and year-end
  • Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in a specialized area(s); remain up-to-date on current trends and best practices
  • Develop and deliver internal training to Capability Center team members for payroll-related topics as needed.
  • Act as a backup to Payroll Manager to approve and fund Payroll as necessary.
  • Act as backup to Manager, Finance and Reporting.

People management

  • Manages Payroll time Tracking Analyst and Manager, Finance and Reporting.

Power of Authorization

Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • College degree required. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) Preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years payroll experience highly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing mid to large projects and integrations with successful results
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience working in a shared services environment preferred
  • Highly accountable with the ability to coordinate different providers, projects, actions, and change requests simultaneously and the skills to obtain high quality work from others in a matrixed environment to deliver excellent results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to successfully manage client expectations and collaborate effectively with various personalities/capabilities in cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of HR & Payroll processes, Payroll iIntegrations, and Americas payroll and fiscal laws.
  • Strong Knowledge of HRIT and robust payroll systems like Workday and SAP; knowledge of ADP GlobalView, Streamline, or Celergo preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including the ability to create PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets using advanced functions (i.e. Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Array formulas)
  • Knowledge of MS Project preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with clear and logical thinking
  • Ability to analayze and understand integrations from both the business and vendor side to enable prompt resolution of issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
