The Patient Navigation Solutions team is responsible for driving improvement in hospital and emergency department utilization, via it’s unique 30-day program. Utilizing data to analyze program performance is a key component of success and tool to be applied both operationally and to tell the story to naviHealth’s clientele. Reporting to the Director, Program Operations & Performance, the Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for creating, analyzing, and delivering a portfolio of scheduled and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders both internal and external. The Data & Reporting Analyst performs health information analytic functions in order to promote program integrity and performance consistency and ultimately support decision makers in program improvement measures. To succeed, this position must compile, analyze, and validate crucial data utilizing solid data collections skills, which allows for trend recognition and analysis of overall performance in department’s benchmarks

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compile, manipulate, validate, and analyze department data, as needed
  • Maintain a solid understanding of department operational processes and SOPs and how daily workflow components translate into internal and external reporting
  • Ensure the integrity of all reports and data through maintenance of reporting bibles, definitions documentation, closing reason matrix and process change control logs. naviHealth.com © 2020 naviHealth, Inc. All Rights Reserved
  • Create daily, weekly and/or monthly program volume and/or activity reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support client performance reporting efforts through a tactical approach, reporting our data trends and crafting a story around program KPIs
  • Closely partner with Manager, Program Integrity, other Data & Reporting Analysts, Senior Program Managers and naviHealth Market Leaders to achieve objectives
  • Work with internal stakeholders to QC data to ensure data integrity, including identifying data to QC, create audit instructions and submitting reports to internal resources to QC
  • Create ad-hoc reports for both internal/external stakeholders
  • Build, update, and provide feedback on operational reports and dashboards
  • Work with department leaders, trainers, and quality assurance colleagues across client cohorts to promote and ensure operational reports are clearly understood and used correctly in daily operations
  • Provide support to internal users in pulling and utilizing operational reports; troubleshooting issues and updating reports as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; in lieu of a degree, specialized training/certification in data analysis or 2+ years of related experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of data analytics experience
  • 2+ years of experience with utilizing BI visualization tools such as Oracle, Tableau, Cognos, or MS Power BI required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel
  • 2+ years of experience in Database management and report writing
  • Experience in IT management, data storage structures, and the various ways data can be applied to aid in business intelligence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ETL process experience
  • RStudio platform and R language experience
  • Healthcare analytics
  • EST or CST Time Zones
  • Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $26.15 to $46.63. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.85 to $51.30. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
