What you’ll do

As the director of marketing, you’ll play a key role in generating awareness, engagement, and commercial interest in the Advisory Board business. In your day-to-day, you’ll partner with Advisory Board’s brand leader to execute on brand-level initiatives, including conferences, webinars, social media promotions, and media placements. A master project manager, you’ll own and coordinate third-party activities such media buys and events, working closely with other marketing leaders and vendors to ensure deadlines are met and goals achieved.

You will join a talented team of marketers, responsible for growing our brand in the market, generating valuable new business leads, and empowering our sales colleagues. You will work closely with leaders from marketing, commercial, and research functions, as well as external vendors, to connect the market with our brand.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Owns and manages brand-level promotions via conferences, events, webinars, and sponsored content
  • Works closely with segment marketing leaders to align brand-level initiatives, including conferences, with marketing goals
  • Manages vendor and conference budget allocations, escalates concerns
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors
  • Partner with external vendors to develop promotions through conferences and media outlets
  • Develop content and marketing assets for campaigns in collaboration with research, marketing, creative services, and legal colleagues
  • Analyze performance data to optimize ongoing campaigns, recommend adjustments, plan/execute subsequent campaigns

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10+ years of demonstrated marketing experience
  • Experience with conference and events management
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts
  • Experience presenting qualitative and quantitative performance results

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
