Summary/Objective
The Brand Marketing Designer - UI/UX Team Member’s responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, building navigation components, and developing UI mockups and prototypes. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. Additionally, the Designer - UI/UX is responsible for the creation and design of marketing assets including, but not limited to, marketing campaigns, motion graphics, ads, print work, and photo editing. The Brand Marketing Designer - UI/UX is responsible for ensuring strategic, seamless creative user experiences - working closely with Merchandising, and IT teams to elevate our creative brand and optimize the customer journey end-to-end. A highly innovative, collaborative, and creative mind is necessary as well as the ability to not only work independently as well as in a close team environment. Should be able to think on your feet and have the ability to set priorities while multi-tasking in a quickly changing environment with overlapping deadlines and last-minute needs for success.

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Create presentations that clearly communicate all areas of functionality for web and mobile
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal team and key stakeholders
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
  • Complete special tasks, last-minute requests, etc. that may interrupt standard workflow.
  • Provide critique, feedback, input, ideas, suggestions, and outside knowledge to the Brand Marketing Design Team as is needed to help the team continue to learn and grow.
  • Push toward and achieve all the goals set by the Team, Platoon, and Company.
  • Define and create a visual language as an extension of the brand (illustrations, icons, colors, typography, animations, etc.)
  • Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design throughout the company.
  • Educate others on design thinking, brand experience, and design-driven storytelling.
  • Collaborate with Media, Marketing, and others, to establish a clear and concise brand voice, tone, and personality.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and IT on UX design to create and maintain a cohesive and consistent brand experience between Marketing and Product.
  • Continually iterate on concepts to make the brand relevant and relatable to our audience(s).
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across various projects.
  • KPIs
    Creating an average number of completed design assets based on projected company goals:
    Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly
    Assist in the introduction, development, and implementation of new and interesting design ideas, processes, and standards.

    Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Acrobat

Physical Demands

The Brand Marketing Design Team Member will frequently:

  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Occasionally attend and assist with photoshoot productions

It is important for the Brand Marketing Design Team Member to be able to:

  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
  • Understand the speech of another person.
  • Speak clearly so listeners can understand.

It is not as important, but still necessary for the Brand Marketing Design Team Member to be able to:

  • See details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
  • Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
  • Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
  • Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
  • Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
  • Determine the distance between objects.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of working as an in-house designer
  • Manual drawing or Illustration experience
