Responsibilities

The Marketing Communications Specialist will communication / promote State Farm's marketing campaigns and initiatives to internal employees and State Farm Agents through strategic use of tools, graphics, and other promotional methods to create excitement and generate action.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Marketing campaign teams and other stakeholders to fully understand communication needs.
  • Reviews and analyzes audience needs to produce effective communication strategies.
  • Gathers all materials necessary to understand the campaign objectives, produces relevant calls to action, and helps determine the most effective communications technique.
  • Works with stakeholders determine the best communication method, which may include social and online media, print, and other multimedia.
  • Presents communication design ideas and recommendations to campaign manager or other stakeholder teams.
  • Composes communications to be sent to all levels of the organization.
  • Identifies the effectiveness of the communication by tracking relevant metrics including open/click rates and other engagement KPIs.
  • Networks with Public Affairs communication teams to ensure alignment with State Farm's overall internal/external communication strategies.
  • In addition to traditional the communication methods, you may be responsible for the creation of social media content, which requires you to have strong social media marketing skills. These abilities can help you stay up to date with the latest social media trends and create content to reach our internal audience in new/different ways.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


NOTE : This role is a Hybrid work arrangement for Bloomington IL, Dunwoody GA, Richardson TX, and Tempe AZ. Remote work arrangements will only be considered for qualified applicants who reside outside of these 4 listed locations.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field is preferred.

Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.
