Director, US Oncology Marketing Execution and Communications
Our Marketing team is passionate about bringing our medicines and vaccines to our customers around the world. We are currently recruiting for a Director, US Oncology Marketing Execution & Communications. The position will report to the AVP, Oncology Customer Engagement & Marketing Operations leader.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading an Associate Director and Senior Specialists to design marketing communications, support marketing operations, drive field planning and execution and deliver on all brand launch / semester meeting milestones. These efforts will ensure all field teams are set up for success to deliver an enhanced customer experience, achieve business objectives, and drive results. This role will collaborate closely with Oncology brand teams and all customer facing leadership.
The Director, US Oncology Marketing Execution & Communications will have to lead, think strategically, be able to make rapid decisions within a frequently changing environment, provide creative ideas/solutions for multiple projects and develop a team of talent. Collaboration, effective communication, and influence within a highly matrixed organization are critical to this role. This person will need to demonstrate rapid decision-making, ability to effectively navigate new and ambiguous projects and lead a team to act as a strategic partner to recommend and deliver best in class marketing communications and field execution recommendations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead and coordinate marketing efforts for launch meetings and national semester meetings
Partner with marketing, Learning & Development and sales leaders to provide a clear line of sight to marketing meeting plans, often making recommendations that reflect prioritization and informed trade-off decisions
Put forth informed points of view and proactively make recommendations for marketing communications, field execution and innovative approaches to achieve business goals
Support marketing execution plans for new brand/indication launches that are seen as best practices such as sales campaign management and marketing communications
Drive marketing communication plans in support of the business unit priorities
Manage development and updates to targeting and alerts data for the field
Lead routine cross-functional team calls with various leaders across the marketing and sales teams to solicit feedback on resources and execution
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement for field execution and marketing communications and marketing meetings
Develop and deploy field execution tools and resources aligned to Oncology brand strategies, for multiple sales teams and customer segments
People Management: Demonstrates key leadership behaviors to create a high-performing and engaged team. Responsible for talent development and management of direct reports, in accordance with employee development plans and company policies.
Transformational leadership: Drives strategic initiatives to improve business results, customer experience and compliance.
Required Experience and Skills
A minimum of 5 years combined strategic marketing, brand management, sales, or business support experience in any industry
Strong written/verbal communication skills as demonstrated through experience in strategy & marketing business case communication, sales interface, direct customer engagement and/or sales presentations
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, work teams, or individuals
Preferred Experience and Skills
Master’s degree/MBA degree
Understanding of health care ecosystem, market access environment, and drivers of value in health care
Strong project management skills as demonstrated by prioritizing activities, using resources optimally, establishing appropriate deadlines and ensuring on-time delivery
Therapeutic area experience (i.e. Oncology)
Demonstrated ability influencing others, navigating complex or matrix organizations and working successfully with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to create solutions that drive value for our customers, incorporating innovative approaches where relevant
Demonstrates a flexible, growth mindset
Product launch or launch planning experience
Experience in marketing communications through key channels such as digital, social, print, direct to consumer and sales execution
Competitive and scenario planning
Experience working on an agile team

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:$175,440.00 - $276,200.00
