As a Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will support the execution and delivery of market development campaigns through the efforts of the aligned team. In this role, you will liaise with colleagues in Marketing Excellence to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive Deloitte's business priorities forward, innovate new marketing and communications solutions, and deliver distinct client experiences. You'll have the potential to facilitate marketing and communications targeting activities through assisting with social media campaigns; support business expansion initiatives; develop promotional marketing materials and targeting tools; and manage major promotional events such as trade shows, industry speaking events, sponsorships, and internal conferences related to key clients

The work you'll do

The Industry Marketing & Communications Specialist will support the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry practice and have responsibility for special projects across our portfolio of business with a specific emphasis on the Technology Sector. The Specialist will work closely with the TMT marketing team to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive Deloitte's business priorities forward, deliver innovative content marketing strategies, and report marketing's contributions to TMT leadership. This role will report to a TMT Senior Marketing Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Apply understanding of marketing and communications basics to drive business goals
  • Participate and in some cases lead in the development, maintenance, and execution of marketing campaigns including digital strategy
  • Manage all aspects of events including planning logistics, invitations, registration, conference materials and on-site assistance to create a memorable experience for attendees
  • Comfort with drafting different types of content including, but not limited to, web copy, social copy newsletters and internal communications.
  • Sets KPIs at the start of a campaign, tracks progress and gathers ROI data for use in executive-level reports, focusing on data story-telling, including how the data will inform future campaigns and tactics, and the overall impact of marketing on TMT growth and brand positioning
  • Plan and manage marketing budgets for campaigns

Qualifications include:
  • 1-3+ years of related experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing strategy and planning
  • Understanding of integrated marketing communications strategies and tactics and how they come together to provide measurable results
  • Team-oriented approach with ability to take initiative, prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting client expectations and deadlines
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Polished executive presence and professional client service manner
  • Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and interact with all levels of management
  • Flexibility, adaptability and level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities
  • Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related business field; Advanced degrees preferred
  • Travel of up to 10% (While up to 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
