Job Description:

Leidos is looking for a Communications & Marketing Specialist for a remote position with the Federal Electronic Health Record Management (FEHRM) Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) team. The position requires the ability to obtain/pass a DOD NACLC investigation in order to be considered. The successful candidate will use written communication and grammatical skills as well as previous experience in media relations, strategic communications, branding, creative services, marketing, digital communications to develop senior executive-level communications and reporting materials for government clients and Leidos. The ideal candidate will also have proven technical editing and writing experience in these areas with a special focus on collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Requires ability to communicate with internal and external executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project, in support of the Federal Electronic Health Record Management (FEHRM) Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) team
  • Key role developing strategic communications initiatives through successful compilation and material development, based on guidance from senior leadership and Leidos leaders
  • Support Leidos leaders as they align to DOD, VA, USCG and FEHRM executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Design, develop, update and maintain communications and marketing artifacts based on processes and procedures, finding knowledge and skills gaps and helping address them
  • Communicates regularly through face-to-face, e-mail, online collaboration, video conference, and telephonic methods with customers, IT professionals, vendors, and all levels of management and agency officials to identify and distribute communications and marketing content, observations, lessons learned
  • Work closely with FEHRM, DHMSM, OEHRM, USCG and other senior-level Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)/Product Owners/Authors, etc. and other Tech Writers/Comms Specialists to support the creation of technical data and other materials
  • Prepares and presents briefings on various technologies to various internal and external stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and senior managers
  • Ability to contribute to strategic discussions with the team and Leidos leadership, including business development input
  • Mapping of EOC and larger FEHRM efforts to strategic roadmaps
  • Monitor trends and directions; develop and present substantive recommendations to team for efficient reporting and leveraging areas of opportunity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience, or Masters with 8+ years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD NACLC Clearance.
  • Prior experience working closely with Program Managers to develop, edit and distribute senior executive level materials
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise in the creation of executive-level communication artifacts, and be able to describe complex and technical topics in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
  • Lead review of documentation as required
  • Experience working directly with technical SMEs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative platforms/software
  • Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to support some weekend hours during go-live periods

Preferred

  • Previous experience creating and delivering excellent senior-level communications and marketing materials
  • Experience editing a variety of products/deliverable
  • Excellent written communication and grammatical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with DoD, VA or Cerner electronic health record (EHR) programs and their lifecycle support
  • Experience working with MHS Genesis or similar product data system
  • Access to DOD, VA or Cerner systems, email accounts, information, etc.
  • Knowledgeable on VA, DOD and Millennium interfaces, workflows and high level architecture
