NBI is focused on delivering SaaS solutions that, in combination with Verizon’s market leading 5G network and MEC capabilities, allows organizations to orchestrate between platforms and translate business logic and device action sets to enable automation and autonomy beyond isolated systems. This involves connecting sensors, cameras, robots, drones and equipment into automated systems. Our primary focus is to provide end-to-end solutions for organizations to realize the benefits of Industry 4.0. As the first marketing hire, In this role you will be responsible for building your organization from the ground up.
As the Vice President of Marketing, Verizon New Business Innovation (NBI), you will be the primary marketing strategist at the NBI portfolio level in support of exceeding our revenue goals. As the first marketing hire, you have the opportunity of building your organization from the ground up. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and developing team members into a highly efficient, productive and results oriented department.

  • Strategy – Definition of our Target Markets and Value Proposition and all marketing activities in support of our revenue goals.
  • Marketing Goals and KPIs - that focus on directly and indirectly supporting revenue generation.
  • Budget and Spend Management for the marketing department.
  • Control – Evaluation and analysis of department performance.
  • Selection, Design and integration of MarCom stack in partnership with the Revenue Operations leader.
  • Design and creation of product awareness to prospects and clients, including go-to-market strategy for new features and product announcements.
  • Build lead nurturing strategies using Account-Based Marketing (ABM) software and techniques.
  • Identify industry events for brand awareness and lead gen opportunities, allocate spend and deploy resources accordingly.
  • Develop new templates, processes and models for large-scale marketing efforts to support Partner Engagement Team.
  • Working closely with the product marketing teams in each of NBIs business units.
  • Enablement of Direct and Channel Sales team on our solutions, value propositions and target markets.
  • In partnership with the Communications Leader, develop Branding strategy and coordinate on PR and the Verizon Experience.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • ***This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager. ***

Even better if you have:

  • Eight or more years or more years of relevant work experience.
  • A highly collaborative mindset to work in partnership with the CRO and leadership team.
  • Eight or more years of proven success in communicating software technology to diverse stakeholders at large enterprise customers.
  • Outstanding team building and leadership skills to include selection, training and retention of direct reports and external content providers.
  • Natural curiosity for innovation focused on the latest MarComm technology and Digital demand generation strategies.
  • Experienced implementing MarComm technologies integrated with CRM.
  • Experience with Digital marketing and customer journey design and tracking.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Account-Based Marketing and enterprise selling.
  • Start-up experience.
  • SaaS background and an Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to develop new processes and/or formats as needed.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $105,000 and $194,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
