What You Will Do:
Develop and manage all aspects for assigned divisional meetings, approx. 40-60 a year. Meetings could range from 12- 200 people and include regional meetings, leadership meetings, product launches, area meetings or special events.
Coordinate all event details, these include but are not limited to: invitations, registration, air and ground travel, agenda development, food and beverage, audio visual, amenity selection, site inspections and selection, billing reconciliation, program evaluations and follow-up with minimal direction.
Manage assigned business unit North American Sales Meeting agenda from planning to execution, in addition to managing all meeting tasks such as registration, transportation, the mobile app, signage or swag.
Define appropriate budget with financial partners and execute within that established budget. Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all invoices. Budgets may range for 10k-1m.
Design and create engaging meeting environments and events. This will require sourcing and bidding of outside vendors including av, transportation, décor and entertainment.
Establish relationships with immediate team and internal customers to provide a team approach to the successful planning and implementation of all programs.
Provide high quality, effective meeting planning support and onsite support as required for other meetings when not the lead planner.
Acts in the best interest of Stryker, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Travel: 20%, travel is seasonal and ranges from 2- 6 nights per meeting, averaging 2-3 meetings/site visits a month
What You Need:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
3+ years work experience in meeting, conference, or special event planning required
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, including ability to tailor communication style to audience.
Excellent grammar, proofreading and editing skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Direct work experience planning multiple back to back meetings
Experience with contract negotiations with national hotels and vendors
Ability to develop & maintain relationships with internal customers, colleagues & industry contacts
$54,000 - $112,700 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
