Job Description

Payers and Organized Customers are critical customers for US Vaccines, a priority growth driver for our company. As a member of the Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement team (which is part of the broader Vaccines Portfolio Marketing Team), the Payer & Health System Market Lead develops strategies that maximize appropriate patient access and pull through of vaccines across our company’s portfolio of products.

This is a dynamic opportunity to lead Payer & Health System strategy for the multiple products within the US Vaccine portfolio and implement strategies with our customer-facing account executives. This individual will play a highly visible and critical role in developing strategy and supportive tactics that help inform organized customer implementation of our company's Vaccine portfolio.

The role works cross-functionally within and across the broader US Commercial organization. The cross functional work will include, but not limited to, working across Brand Marketing, Digital Engagement Teams, US Vaccines Leadership, the Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence, Integrated Account Management, Vaccine Key Customer Leads, and other key customer facing account managers and directors. The individual utilizes an understanding of key relationships with national and regional accounts, market and product segments to identify customer needs for specific strategies, projects, programs and resources.

The position is based out of Upper Gwynedd, PA, working in a hybrid model, reporting directly to the Director of Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement, U.S. Vaccines.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Shape market access strategies and pull through activities across multiple and diverse payer segments

  • Lead the development and implementation of Payer, Health System and Employer customer segment strategies

  • Lead market access launch planning for priority franchise

  • Serve as subject matter expert on health plan coverage and reimbursement for vaccines and identify appropriate opportunities on pull through activities

  • Serve as a payer subject matter expert to provide insights to leadership and marketing teams that help inform business planning and strategies in support of vaccine access

  • Partner with brand and customer facing teams to ensure resources and activities meet brand and customer objectives

  • Collaborate with Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence, Medical Affairs and brand colleagues in the development of models and tools in support of communicating economic impact, including Budget Impact Models

  • Collaborate with Promotional Review Team and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all activities meet our Company's business objectives and compliance standards

  • Work closely with Senior Specialists, Marketing Associates to develop and deploy resources that promote appropriate pull-through activities

Education:

  • Required: BA/BS Degree

  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years combined market access, marketing/sales leadership or account management

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute brand and customer marketing strategies to include innovative approaches and digital engagement

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills

  • Strong collaboration, project management and organizational skills; ability to act with minimal supervision, prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks within deadlines

  • Ability to work in an emerging and evolving environment with demonstrated examples of working in new ways

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills

  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and activating customer and brand market research insights

  • Ability to translate market trends and customer needs into customer resources or tactics

  • Demonstrated success in establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships

  • Ability to learn quickly and to assess a variety of scenarios, strategically and operationally

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the mechanics and economics of the healthcare ecosystem

  • Product launch or launch planning

  • Consulting/Stakeholder Management experience

  • Experience with the development process for pharmaceutical promotional materials, including the Med-Legal/ Promotional Review process

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while managing multiple stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare market dynamics, including influences between Payers and Integrated Delivery Networks, macro US healthcare trends, etc.

  • Account management experience, particularly with engaging suite customers

  • Previous vaccines experience in the U.S. Market
