Summary:
The Associate Director is responsible for development and execution of brand plans across multiple channels to support commercialization of Zeposia (ozanimod) in Ulcerative Colitis. This individual will be a key member of the ZEPOSIA UC brand team, leading matrix collaboration and managing agency partners to successfully execute the brand plan. A focus of this role will be supporting a field-based team of Key Account Directors (KAD) from both a strategic and tactical perspective. Candidates for this position should have strong experience in HCP marketing and customer facing roles within the specialty pharmaceutical category. Experience in Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and/or Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD) is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Partner across matrix to build and operationalize the KAD capability
- Support KAD team with strategy, resources, and pull-through of a comprehensive and integrated stakeholder engagement plan
- Lead and foster collaboration with matrix team members (marketing, sales, analytics, reimbursement, medical affairs, HEOR, etc.) to develop and execute programs and materials to support commercialization of ZEPOSIA in UC
- Understand market dynamics and business insights to drive strategic choices
- Development of messaging and effective promotional resources
- Manage agencies and other vendors in development of promotional materials and tactics
- Manage internal review / approval process for promotional materials
- Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders and HCP customers
- Effectively interact with sales force and handle feedback and field requests
- Contribute to the development and implementation of annual brand plan
- Engage in and interpret ongoing market research projects to validate brand strategy
- Identify operational issues and problem solve
- Business travel may be required, up to 20%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA helpful, but not required)
- 5-7 years industry (pharmaceutical/biotech or related agency) experience in brand marketing or related function
- Demonstrated success in commercial roles
- Demonstrated project leadership experience
- Ability to effectively work across all levels of matrix organization
- Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate internal review processes
- Gastroenterology/IBD/UC market experience preferred
- Launch experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficient
