Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Zeposia Consumer Marketing, is responsible for the execution of direct-to-consumer marketing plans across multiple channels to support the commercialization of Zeposia for the treatment of moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) in adults.

The individual in this role will lead the strategy and execution of omnichannel tactics, including linear and connected TV, specifically for the UC indication. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams including members of the brand marketing team, the engagement and channel strategy team, the business insights and analytics, and the media team. Additionally, the role requires extensive management and partnership with both creative and media agencies. Candidates for this position should have a keen ability for collaboration and working in a matrixed environment.

The Associate Director, Consumer Marketing, will be part of a team of 3 patient marketers reporting to the Senior Director, Consumer Marketing. We are a highly collaborative and passionate group of individuals who truly care about and enjoy helping patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategy and execution of the consumer tactical plan and management of agencies/vendors

  • Ensure tactical execution, including messaging and creative, is rooted in the brand strategy and patient insights.

  • Work closely with media agency, engagement and channel strategy, and internal media team to develop and continuously optimize the omnichannel media plan

  • Partner with the advocacy team to build support for patients living with Ulcerative Colitis

  • Manage patient marketing budget and invoicing

  • Support internal review processes and work with external partners to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tactical projects

  • Partner with market research and analytics colleagues to identify, analyze, and report key performance indicators

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing teams, sales, market access, public relations, advocacy, patient support and medical to ensure executional alignment

  • Business travel may be required, up to 20%

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years industry, (pharmaceutical/biotech or related agency) marketing experience.

  • Digital marketing and/or TV experience, project management, financial acumen, and have a keen ability for collaboration and working in a matrixed environment.

  • Experience with direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical marketing is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate internal MLR (medical, legal, regulatory) review processes

  • Working knowledge of health literacy principles

  • Demonstrated project management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage budgets

  • Immunology and/or experience working on large pharmaceutical brands is a plus

  • Knowledge of consumer marketing best practices and working with patient advocacy is a plus
