Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Director, Global Marketing for Women’s cancer for the oncology portfolio. The Global Marketing Director will lead strategic marketing, launch strategies and marketing efforts for Breast Cancer.


Responsibilities may include some or all of the following responsibilities (but are not limited to these) the following:

  • Lead our overall disease area assessment, including burden of disease, patient journeys, unmet need, evolving competitive landscape and pipeline. Develop, align and advance winning strategies for the long term for our Breast Cancer areas.

  • Provide input to long term pipeline development – internal and external including business development and commercial assessments.

  • Strong commercial representation in Product Development Teams (PDT) and other cross functional teams and bodies to ensure fact based, analytical and strategic commercial input into R&D decisions

  • Develop a strong understanding of scientific basis for our pipeline and competitor decisions including clinical trial designs and emerging new data

  • Commercial input on activities in a product development team incl., target product profile development, global regulatory filing strategy, publication strategy, value and evidence generation strategy, commercial implications of development plans and their evolution, drive inputs to revenue forecasting, NPV, business case, develop and ensure scenario planning and analysis

  • Ensure input of appropriate stakeholders – regional and functional representatives into the one commercial voice

  • Use qualitative and quantitative data and insights to inform and drive commercial input

  • Plan and execute worldwide launches, coordinating strategy and execution across several functions and regions to ensure commercial and enterprise readiness.

  • Develop an aligned global launch strategy with regions and ensure launch readiness for key launches and overarching Breast cancer portfolio including support of digital initiatives, medical education, promotion.

  • Collaborate with regions and key markets to develop global strategy, and deliver global materials consistent with that strategy to support local execution

  • Deliver a core set launch materials

  • Build data, analytics and digital driven approach to commercial strategy and execution

  • Synthesize key insights from our various data sources – quantitative and qualitative - and ensure integration into our strategy and activities

  • Partner with Analytics, Insights and Data/ Digital organizations to ensure forward looking approach to data sources, analytics, research and dashboards and develop impactful internal and customer facing solutions

  • Lead cross functional strategy development

  • Participate in engaging with and seeking input from scientific leaders on evolving disease landscape, treatment paradigms, clinical decision making, etc.

  • Support the creation of materials to share strategies, plans and performance with a broad set of stakeholders to build alignment across global and markets

  • Build engagement and “Win as One Team”

  • Development of content or activities for global and regional workshops and meetings

  • Create a culture of openness, collaboration, focus and execution

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree (ideally in a life science/ science/ analytical area)

  • Preferred: Master's Degree or doctoral degree (MD, PhD, JD, Engineering, business)

Required experience/skills:

  • Minimum 8 years combined marketing, sales, market access & pricing, marketing support or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.

  • Understanding of healthcare market dynamics across the value chain: basic science and biology, clinical development and innovation, regulatory processes, global launch dynamics, access and reimbursement and commercialization.

  • Understanding of healthcare trends and reimbursement and policy issues and their potential impact upon our Company's business opportunities.

  • Ability to engage with complex scientific information and clinical data, with subject matter experts and distill insights for commercial implications.

  • Experience leading strategy development and implementation. Ability to clearly articulate insights and strategies messages/information across the enterprise and to leadership.

  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills, managing large complex initiatives, strong business judgment and ability to drive initiatives forward.

  • Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams.

  • Ability to work within complex organizations and markets, leading cross-functional teams and influencing without authority.

Preferred experience/skills:

  • Advanced Degree (PhD, Medical Degree, JD)

  • Breast cancer experience/expertise

  • Global Marketing experience

  • Oncology Marketing experience

  • In-market execution experience

  • Experience providing commercial input on such activities as: target product profile development, global regulatory filing strategy, labeling, launch readiness reviews, organized customer interactions, market research, demand, product development team (PDT) and agency partner management

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:

$175,440.00 - $276,200.00
