Job Description

Our Organization has an incredible history in Vaccines, including a strong portfolio of inline and pipeline pneumococcal vaccines.

This US Director role is a strategic commercial leader and problem solver responsible for leading launch strategy and launch preparation. This role is focused on the adult pneumococcal pipeline vaccine. The US Market Leader (USML) for Adult Pneumococcal Vaccines New Products will be responsible for leading the US strategy development and launch planning for the pipeline pneumococcal vaccine for adults.

The candidate must be able to lead both horizontally and vertically within the organization. Cross-functional leadership is essential, as the USML will need to effectively work with colleagues from Global Marketing, Medical Affairs, CORE, Market Research, Finance, Manufacturing, Policy, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead development of the commercial strategy and launch planning for new adult pneumococcal vaccines

  • Collaborate with USML for inline adult pneumococcal vaccines to ensure alignment with the broader adult pneumococcal vaccines’ portfolio strategy

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues noted above to ensure the achievement of business objectives

  • Build and lead a team of direct reports to accomplish launch and execution goals

Location: This position is location agnostic but may require up to 25% Travel to our Upper Gwynedd., PA office for collaboration, as needed. The position will report to the Executive Director USML, Pneumococcal Vaccines Franchise.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Required: BA/BS

  • Preferred: MBA

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in marketing, commercial strategy/strategic planning, market research, sales, and/or marketing/sales support.

  • Minimum of five (5) years-experience in pharmaceutical industry.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in developing marketing strategies and launching new products and/or new indications.

  • Commercial Vaccines experience and/or Product launch experience at the market level.

  • Experience in developing product forecasts.

  • Experience leading diverse teams in a solid line and/or matrix environment.

  • Successful commercial experience leading brands across therapeutic areas.

  • Strong US customer knowledge and demonstrated ability to focus on customers and patients when making decisions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational anrckd project management skills.

  • Strong collaboration skills (demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and cross-divisionally and lead teams to get work done); experience interfacing with colleagues in various functions, including global marketing, medical affairs, manufacturing, regulatory, and finance

  • Comprehensive understanding of US vaccines market.

  • Understanding of US commercial and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience working on digital initiatives.
