Software Quality and Testing Coach - Enabling Manager - Fulltime

Delivery Excellence is seeking a detailed oriented software testing professional, who will be responsible for Project Launch Services coaching requests. This individual will be managing and delivering coaching services to project teams around the areas of Functional Testing, Automated Testing, Performance Testing, Mobile Testing, and Service Virtualization with a focus on build core testing capabilities of practitioners and project teams, while providing client value.

Work you'll do

  • Deliver hands-on services to assist pursuit and project teams with the adoption and usage of Deloitte's implementation method (EVD and Momentum) and enabling solutions for software testing (e.g. testing deliverables, tools, and processes)
  • Provide guidance to project leadership on setting up testing tools and processes as they develop their approaches, plans and processes to deliver high quality solutions. Work directly with the pursuit / project manager.
  • Be a trusted advisor to project leadership Testing Strategy, process and tools
  • Guide project teams as they adapt test processes and tools to operate in an Agile manner
  • Identify and address project team training needs on Deloitte methods and solutions
  • Provide recommendations to improve use, adoption and understanding of the method and enabling solutions
  • Identify and harvest high quality deliverables and other DE related information to enable a model of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the DE Testing solutions team around standardization of testing process, tool usage, and future enhancement to our solutions
  • Deliver instructor-led training courses aligned with Testing focus
  • Support special projects related to area of solution focus within DE as needed
  • Socialize/share learning based on experiences within the DE community to enhance continuous learning culture
  • Represent the vision and objectives of DE positively within Deloitte Consulting

Qualifications

Required:
  • >= 5 years of software testing experience in consulting with strong understanding of the SDLC testing types
  • Experience leading both small and large teams while delivering project work with various levels of complexity
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple teams and clients with confidence
  • At least 4 years of experience with defining the testing strategy for large scale programs and ensuring requirements traceability throughout the system development lifecycle and leading testing efforts, including experience with all phases of testing: System Integration, User Acceptance, and Performance Testing
  • Knowledgeable on Testing Techniques - Understand the various approaches used in testing, including (e.g., desk checking), white-box (logic drive), black-box (requirements driven), load testing, coverage testing and regression testing.
  • Strong understanding of testing deliverables within Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Possess an understanding of approach to Estimation, Design - focusing on key impacts and integration points to Testing
  • At least 4 years of experience with defining, managing, executing test automation and performance testing projects.
  • Experience implementing testing best practices specific to the test planning and execution processes and gaining buy-in for changes from executives
  • A deep understanding of test planning and delivery challenges
  • Project experience with the following: MicroFocus UFT, Application Lifecycle Management, Octane, LoadRunner Enterprise
  • Experience working in a virtual environment, including onshore / US-based team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, good networking capabilities to interact with SL practitioners/leaders.
