IntroductionAs a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. You'll manage complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points. Are you ready?Your Role and Responsibilities**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**+ Ability to interact comfortably with Privacy Office, Compliance or Legal resources including Chief Privacy Officers, Senior Privacy Managers, Counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.+ Act as Promontory's engagement delivery lead and client's initial point of contact for engagement delivery on a daily basis.+ Oversee project deliverables and deliver as an individual contributor where expected.+ Lead research and analyze legal or regulatory requirements, including as developed through administrative or judicial proceedings.+ Manage compliance and risk assessments including privacy impact assessments and the review, classification and mapping of client data processing and data flows+ Prepare client reports and other engagement deliverables and lead meetings and presentations, which often include senior executives or directors of the client+ Play a hands-on role in business development, such as drafting proposals, representing Promontory at industry events and participating in meetings with current or potential clients+ Able to track project budget and team resources and escalate to senior team members as required.+ Travel as required to client sites in the United States and internationally. Time spent traveling ranges from 10% to 75%, depending upon the project.+ Performs additional duties as assigned**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**+ Superior writing and editing skills with the ability to construct well-founded, clear, and concise analyses and recommendations.+ Strong attention to detail.+ Ability to lead and manage day to day aspects of engagement activities and an ability to work with clients+ Strong analytical skills.+ Ability to handle complex information, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.+ Ability to communicate effectively with clients and within all levels of the organization.+ Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships and build teams.+ Strong reputation for integrity and ethics.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ Professional with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience relating to privacy, data protection, and information risk matters.+ Technical expertise and experience in compliance, risk management, corporate governance or legal or regulatory issues.+ Demonstrated experience in building and managing project teams to address complex issues in high pressure situations.+ Track record working in an unstructured environment where engagement leaders are expected to identify and develop innovative solutions to client challenges.+ Bachelor's degree and privacy designation or certificationPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ MBA, PhD, JD or equivalent is preferrednoneAbout Business UnitFounded in 2001 by Chief Executive Officer Eugene A.
