Join our effort to tackle a longstanding challenge in early drug discovery by identifying covalent small molecules that modulate the activity of these so far undrugged targets and pathways to positively impact human health.<br><br>The Chemical Biology and Therapeutics department is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable candidate for a Scientist position to expand its current effort in chemical proteomics and covalent drug discovery. <br><br>Hands-on experience with protein/peptide analysis and quantitative mass spectrometry methods (i.e., TMT, label-free) is required. Familiarity with chemical proteomics and affinity enrichment methodologies, concepts governing compound binding affinity and reactivity, kinetics, and selectivity as well as proficiency in protein biochemistry techniques (liquid chromatography, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, etc.) are highly desired. <br><br>The successful candidate will have demonstrated abilities to grow in the field by adoption of new techniques and troubleshooting experimental approaches in an independent fashion. The position requires effective self-management and thriving in a multitasking environment with at times rapidly changing project parameters. Applicants should have good organizational, team and communication skills, and should be able to interpret and present results and scientific information critically and objectively.<br><br>Your primary responsibilities: <br><br>• Tissue culture<br>• Chemoproteomic affinity enrichments and sample preparation<br>• Operation of state-of-the art mass spectrometry and associated equipment <br>• Analysis of quantitative proteomics data using equipment vendor and 3rd party software<br>• Immunoassays, biophysical characterization, and flow cytometry <br>• Report generation and presentation of results and interpretations<br><br>[#video#{#400,300#}#/video#]
