What you’ll be doing...

As a Product Marketing Manager supporting the Verizon Business Group, you’ll help strengthen our brand and drive new sales by acting as a marketing lead for the Protect pillar of our Security portfolio.. Our marketing team is responsible for creating and executing the go-to-market strategy for our cyber security solutions and services. You will be an advocate for our customers, by setting them as the hero of their security story.

In this role you will:

  • Become a subject matter expert on the solutions and services in your purview.

  • Project manage/lead product launch activities and strategic marketing programs to accelerate revenues and bookings.

  • Develop product messaging with compelling and differentiated value propositions along with high-quality customer collateral, sales enablement, & training materials.

  • Partner with Sales to develop compelling customer outreach materials that allow the customer to be the hero and sets us up to sell not only Security but our entire suite of business solutions.

  • Collaborate with the product team in developing customer segmentation, buyer journey and propensity models to more effectively position the solution set for success

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as the product subject matter expert to answer product questions, review content, and assist with cross-sell / upsell strategy formulation

  • Track, monitor & present revenue and booking performance information using dashboards, business cases, and other reports to help make data-informed strategic decisions.

  • Conduct independent market and competitive research to develop unique product and portfolio insights (customer, competitive, industry, pricing) to help inform our product and marketing strategies.

  • Serve as the security marketing single point of contact for sales and sales operations in matters related to win/loss analysis, proposal development, sales pipeline review, customer meeting support, activity reporting, etc.

  • Serve as a solution SME in working with campaign teams in the design and execution of events, thought leadership and account-based marketing tactics

  • Lead the development and curation of use cases and customer references for your products/solutions

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience.

  • Product Marketing, Marketing, or Product Management experience.

  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • An MBA.

  • Experience marketing cyber security products or other very technical products/services.

  • Credential(s) and experience in general business, marketing, or cybersecurity.

  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity market.

  • Knowledge with VBG processes, products, services, and culture.

  • A background in B2B Marketing.

  • Experience in designing and executing market and customer analysis and then applying the information gained to drive the development of effective go-to-market strategies.

  • Experience interacting with analysts and other industry leaders, as well as conducting marketing research, to develop product and portfolio insights.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: you are a storyteller.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-friendly language and concise value propositions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leaders alike, and you are comfortable providing recommendations and direct feedback in a manner in which it will be heard.

  • Positive, energetic, and collaborative working style abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize, especially when faced with competing asks.

  • A cross-functional leadership style withthe ability to guide teams of peers to complete work where you do not have direct authority.

  • A data-driven approach.

  • G Suites, presentation, and MS Excel skills.
