Assistant Regional Merchandising Manager

What Will You Do?

The Assistant Regional Merchandise Manager will assist the Merchandise Manager with product allocation for their designated stores, across all categories. This position will run regular sales reports and monitor group performance to help determine product changes.

The Assistant Regional Merchandise Manager will attend regular velocity walks and work closely with the Regional Visual Managers and Marketing Specialist team to ensure store optimization. Additionally, a cross functional relationship with the Category Merchant team is necessary to assist with store optimization.

  • Assist Merchandise Managers with product allocation process by pulling sales and any other helpful reports.
  • Make suggestions for future floored product based on current sales & top sellers.
  • Manage Transition process and track incoming orders.
  • Help manage Lifestyle and Category integrity with product selection.
  • Be up to date on particular store demographic information and store competition to better select product.
  • Write floor sample requests or any ancillary orders to help keep floors up to standard.
  • Ensure consistency within their market with product and associations.
  • Audit in store point of purchase materials; Marketing & Merchandising related.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

What Do You Need?

  • 2 years’ experience in traditional retail buying/merchandising or related area, Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Merchandising, Retailing or related degree or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Document management system.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet.
  • Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice.
  • Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect.
  • Display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers.
  • Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries.
  • Occasional Domestic Travel and Opportunity for International Travel.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
