Senior Engineer -- Sales
Eatons Power Distribution Division is currently seeking a SeniorSales Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Fayetteville, NClocation.Position Overview:The primary functionof the Senior Sales Engineer role will be to support the sales organization on medium sized, multiple productline project negotiations as assigned by a manager. The responsibilities will includeinterpretation of project plans and specifications, product application,configuration of product, technical support, proposal preparation, lead timeinformation, review of project terms and conditions and pricing authoritymanaged to price bands as determined by manager.Inaddition, the Senior Sales Engineer will:+ Meet or exceed order entryvolume and price objectives by product line and market segment as determinedby manager in accordance with historical performance and available marketdata for assigned region(s).+ Review customer needs andspecifications in order to determine the minimum bill of material, mostcompetitive price level and shipment cycle within the market segmentpertaining to each specific negotiation. Interpret incoming product linequotations for project desirability factor, proper product content andlist price. Recommend changes, modifications to bill of material to meetcustomer specification and improve Electrical Groups competitive positionas needed.+ Responsibilities also toinclude facilitation of order entry with Eaton Care and FayettevilleFront-End personnel; order and price reconciliation and other customerrequested functions as required to obtain profitable sales growth of theElectrical Groups motor control centers in assigned region(s).+ Report new productrequirements, track negotiations, report orders entered and lost, developaccurate monthly forecasts and report market trends in a timely andefficient manner.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of everyemployee around the world. Its where bold, brightprofessionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help usreach ours.In this function you will:+ Performa wide variety of marketing and technical tasks including solving customerproblems with the use of technical and marketing publications, developmentspecifications and divisional peers to innovate problem solutions.+ Withoutappreciable direction, must be able to manage time appropriately to meet theproduct lines objectives and customers requirements.+ Guidethe coordination of special complex design problems with design/standardsengineering.+ Interpretand define commercial and technical data where customer and/or product planningspecifications are of a general or speculative nature involving the solution ofnew and varied problems.+ Negotiatewith Field Sales/customer, to obtain highest price levels for service andproduct features offered.+ SellField Sales organization on quality and product features in order to obtainrequired focus and attention to meet volume objectives.+ Givetraining and informative presentations to customers, distributors, and salesforce concerning Eatons electrical products and services.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives andbackgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelorsdegree from an accredited institution+ Minimumthree years (3) experience with electrical products required+ Mustbe able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and withinthe futurePreferred qualifications:+ Bachelor'sDegree in Engineering or Business Administration+ Experiencein providing sales support and or customer interaction+ Technicalknowledge with electrical control and distribution products Position Criteria:+ Mustpossess strong leadership skills and have experience in large project supportand salesmanship, Electrical Group capabilities, market channels, technicalapplication of Electrical Group products, and must also demonstrate the highestlevel of proficiency in negotiating skills.+ Excellentverbal and written communication skills are a mustWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunitiesfor all job applicants and employees.
