If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIBM enables clients to migrate their most demanding IT workloads to an enterprise-ready IBM managed cloud platform in order to achieve greater flexibility and scalability by reducing costs, increasing agility and freeing up staff resources.SAP Sales Engineers are key members of the IBM sales team, responsible for designing solutions for customer workloads that typically run in IBM's enterprise managed cloud platform. This position will require proactive and technical leadership throughout the sales cycle, from initial requirements gathering, to qualification, solution design and pricing, to contract signature and finally, handoff to delivery.Sales Engineers create and maintain strong, trusted internal and client relationships at all levels. They design solution recommendations for their clients by applying their broad technical skills, industry knowledge and business acumen. These recommendations leverage IBM technologies, architectures, integrated solutions, hybrid cloud patterns, and other offerings to solve the client's business challenges and deliver tangible business value.Skills:+ This role will be aligned to IBM GTS SAP practice. We are looking for SAP skills specifically around managed services, BASIS as well as understanding of functional layers.+ The ideal candidate will have at minimum 3 years of solution design work around SAP.+ As a technical member of the sales team, lead in collecting, validating, vetting with customer the deal-specific technical, functional, and nonfunctional requirements+ Develop initial technical solution strategy+ Develop non-binding indicative estimate (NBIE) solution proposals to include cost cases to be priced, draft deployment timelines, technical/operational dependencies, draft architecture+ Apply technical and competitive insights specific to their tech domain areas to optimize sales opportunities+ Apply and continuously develop knowledge in the technical domain areas they're responsible for in the context of IBM Services' Journey to the Cloud GTM strategy+ Develop / maintain end client, business/channels/alliance partner relationships within their technical communities+ Advise/write when needed technical elements of contracts/SOWs in RE: the given technical scope, integration points, architectural ramifications+ Perform/execute: client-facing meetings, RFP oral presentations, quarterly business reviews at client sites, and conduct hands-on client demonstrations+ Attain industry-appropriate technical certifications based on their domain areaRequired Technical and Professional Expertise-Required client related travel up to 50-70%-Min 2 years of Sales Engineering / solution design experience requiredPreferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseN/AAbout Business UnitAt Global Technology Services (GTS), we help our clients envision the future by offering end-to-end IT and technology support services, supported by an unmatched global delivery network.
