Start your journey now!Your Role and Responsibilities*Design, engineer, deploy, document, provide input to implement network solutions to meet customer requirements*Collaborate with customer/partner network engineers, architects , operation support staff disciplines to determine the best comprehensive design, while supporting current and long-term needs of the infrastructure and related stakeholders*Understand and document gaps between customer requirements and IBM Cloud offering and interact with offering to enhance IBM Cloud capabilities* Understand IBM Cloud network capabilities across the board and present/demo them to the client and help them understand how the capabilities solve their network connectivity, security and other requirements*Meet clients F2F or other means and explain IBM Cloud network capabilities, its advantages and differentiation and hybrid cloud connectivity options*Creation of reusable presentations, white papers, and demos*Conduct technological and competitive analyses and research*Reviewing and documenting current cloud architecture and developing cloud solutions to enhance existing cloud offerings*Troubleshoots connectivity issues*Communication: Demonstrates subject matter expertise about the presentation topic and is able to communicate to engineers and executive team*Leadership: Highly motivated, self driven individual who works to meet customer expectations and achieve results*Technical: Keeps current on industry practices, regulations, technology, etc, and demonstrates technical knowledge in area of responsibility*Interpersonal Skills: Builds networks / bridges with internal and external counterparts*Customer Orientation: Provides products and services that meet or exceed the needs and requirements of internal and external customersExpertise*Bachelors degree or equivalent*Must have 8+ years of network and support experience, with at least 5 years in a cloud engineering role*3+ year experience working in large enterprises implementing hybrid cloud connectivity and enterprise security needs in the network context*Experience in integrating Cloud interconnects, such as IBM Direct link, AWS Direct Connect, Azure Express Route *Hands on experience implementing and supporting encryption in transit solutions *Clear understanding of overlay networking*Experience and strong knowledge with containers, container networking, and Kubernetes*Knowledge of VMWARE NSX and connectivity patterns*Experience and strong knowledge with Linux, and Linux networking*Demonstrated experience in LAN/WAN, MPLS, QoS, multicast and core networking discipline, including advance routing protocols like BGP and OSPF*Multi-vendor knowledge including Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, Checkpoint, Fortinet, F5, Bluecoat etc*Hands on knowledge and implementing network security in a hybrid cloud context, Cyber Security and Compliance engagements*Experience in building, interconnecting and supporting networks with one of the cloud providers (preferably IBM) - Regions and Availability Zones.
