Start your journey now!Your Role and Responsibilities**About Watson AIOps**Today, most organizations are transitioning from a traditional infrastructure of separate, static physical systems to a dynamic mix of on-premises, managed cloud, private cloud, and public cloud environments, running on virtualized or software-defined resources that scale and reconfigure constantly.Applications and systems across these environments generate a tsunami of data that keeps growing. In fact, Gartner estimates that the average enterprise IT infrastructure generates two to three times more IT operations data every year.Traditional domain-based IT management solutions can't keep up with the volume. They can't intelligently sort the significant events out of the crush of surrounding data. They can't correlate data across different but interdependent environments. You will work with our Technical Sales and Sales teams in US to help identify and kickstart AIOps and Management opportunities and drive revenue in this space.You will work with clients to understand their business and technical requirements in an IT Operations environment around Proactive Issue Avoidance and Resolution, Intelligent Change Risk Management, Cost Optimization, Application Scaling and Deployment and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) use cases. You articulate the value proposition of IBMs Management portfolio, and how it differentiates from our competitors.You will also enable, mentor and assist Technical professionals to share your knowledge and experience. We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling our strategic Watson AIOps solution. You must be self-motivated, driven to win sales opportunities, and ready to interact daily with customers, colleagues, and business partners.**Responsibilities**+ Actively develop and progress qualified opportunities for Management and AIOps working with the IBM Sales teams.+ Act as a deep technical expert in Management and AIOps opportunities, and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful+ Enable, support and work with the Business Partner ecosystem.+ Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction.+ Maintain an understanding of the clients industry, including industry trends, industry business processes.+ Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.+ Support customer technical escalations, on-site health checks, best practice sharing, designing solutions; and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to identify/progress/close sales and develop customer relationships.**Attributes**+ Demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the client's business+ Skilled in consultative selling, with an understanding of the client's needs and IBM capabilities+ Commercially minded and capable of supporting end-to-end sales engagements with the ability to think, plan and act strategically+ Extensive networking and interpersonal skills in complex environments+ Self-starter with eagerness to seek and build new skills+ Demonstrated functional competence across the Monitoring landscape+ Strong understanding of the following verticals: IT Operations, DevOps, SRE, Observability+ Functional knowledge of Cloud deployments and SaaS offerings**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**+ Cognitive Data Engineering:+ Functional understanding of at least one of the AIOps solutions in the market (ServiceNow, Splunk, Moogsoft, or Watson AIOps)+ In-depth understanding of Data Modeling, and Data Models+ Ability to articulate the value to an IT Operations Engineer without Data-Scientist background+ Deep experience in training data AI models:+ Expert in data normalization+ Understanding of the amount and kind of data needed to train a model+ Ability to explain and demonstrate the confidence level of a model+ Complete familiarity with Kubernetes Linux clusters and command line experience for data integration, transformation and validation+ Hands-on experience with Scripting and scripting languages such as Python+ IT Operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)+ Good knowledge of the role of traditional IT Operations (ITOps) Engineers, tools they are typically using and pain points they are facing, e.g. deep experience with Logs and Log aggregation, Automation (Ansible, Saltstack, Terraform), ChatOps and interoperability with enterprise chat tools, CI/CD pipelines+ Deep understanding of how a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) approaches Operations to ensure that continuously delivered applications run efficiently and reliably by using software engineering and automation solutions.+ Ability to assess where the client is on the journey from traditional IT Operations to SRE, and able to articulate and demonstrate the value of Watson AIOps to help them with the transition.+ Expert knowledge around DevSecOps concepts+ Kubernetes Expertise:+ Applied knowledge of building and operating clusters effectively on a Kubernetes platform (preferably Red Hat OpenShift)+ Expert in understanding the underlying open source and concepts around Storage, Networking, Security, Trouble Shooting, Management and Performance Tuning*** Ideal Locations are Atlanta, NYC, Raleigh, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, Portland (OR), Boston, Washington D.C or Alexandria (VA)***Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ Cognitive Data Engineering+ IT Operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)+ Kubernetes ExpertisePreferred Technical and Professional ExpertisePreferred Technical and Professional Experience+ Proven communication skills and fluent in English.+ Ability to understand business problems, and articulate business value to different target audiences (IT Operation Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, CxO)+ In-depth Cloud Platform knowledge and in one of the following: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform/Anthos, Amazon/AWSAbout Business UnitIBM has a global presence, operating in more than 175 countries with a broad-based geographic distribution of revenue.
