Provider Engagement and Outreach Representative (PEO Rep) will develop meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to identify market strategies to support products and drive membership growth and retention for the health plan products they support. PEO Rep is a community-based role aimed at developing community relationships, brand awareness and promoting the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. With their marketing acumen and public relations experience PEO Rep has the opportunity to be the face of the company and to share the mission of our company - To help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate understanding of all Texas Medicaid & Medicare lines of business as they apply to managed care to facilitate marketing and growth initiatives
  • Build, manage and maintain solid relationships with community-based and faith-based organizations, select provider program participants and associations to build trust and align SMART growth priorities
  • Coordinate compliant formal and informal events to open the door for growth, brand awareness, provider, member and community education
  • Engage select provider program participants with face-to-face and virtual visits. Track all activities, events, contacts and relationship progress daily through internal systems and platforms
  • Make recommendations to leadership regarding sponsorship for special projects and subsequently, manage the end-to-end process
  • Educate providers on general policies and procedures applicable to the delivery of care (e.g., regulatory, quality of care, health plan benefits and online tools and resources)
  • Represent UnitedHealthcare at market meetings, forums, events and conferences, as assigned
  • Complete special projects as assigned. Responsible for planning, deploying and reporting results
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of Healthcare, Managed Care or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Provider Relations and Network communications
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (ability to create, edit, save and send documents)
  • Computer proficiency including but not limited to, ability to learn new computer systems applications
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within assigned territory (Service Delivery Area) and to other markets as needed

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $25.63 to $45.72. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.85 to $51.30. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
