Job Description

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. Our Veterinary team use their scientific background to provide technical expertise and education to our customers, sales and marketing teams. With a deep knowledge of pharmacology and animal health we engage scientific exchange with external experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our animal health portfolio is understood.

We are seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Animal Care Quality Technician that can help drive our Strategic Operating Priorities.

An Animal Care Quality Technician is responsible for the care and husbandry of animals. Technicians will work with a variety animal species. At all times, technicians must follow Standard Operating Procedures, adhere to all safety and company policies and perform duties assigned by department supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Caring, feeding and watering of animals

  • Daily observations of animals

  • Cleaning of animal cages, pens and/or rooms

  • Room, pen and cage set-up for animal studies

  • Equipment set-up and operation

  • Assist in maintaining inventory of animal husbandry supplies

  • Maintain accurate record keeping

  • Capable and willing to work in inclement conditions, including extreme heat and cold weather

  • Compliance with federal ,state, and site regulations and guidelines (USDA, OSHA, GLP, SOP)

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED

Experience | Knowledge | Skills

Required

  • One year professional animal-related experience
