Job Description

The Associate Technician, Warehouse position is at our Animal Health Distribution facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This facility is the sole distribution site of our Animal Health products, shipping throughout the United States and 30+ countries around the world. With a strong emphasis on safety, the distribution facility received recognition in 2023 for 15 years as Nebraska's Safest Companies with Distinction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • While working in a climate-controlled warehouse, this position will perform a variety of warehouse activities.

  • Primary duties will include scheduling LTL/FTL freight carriers, tracking shipments, maintaining carrier metrics, and working with carriers to ensure on time delivery.

  • This may include the storing, handling, preparing for shipment and documenting of hazardous materials/waste.

  • Other activities may include, but are not limited to unloading, storing and loading materials in the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks and dollies. Picking and packing of customer orders, preparing small parcel shipments, cycle counting, routine cleaning, and any other warehouse tasks as assigned.

  • Performs record keeping, ensuring the accuracy and condition of delivered materials.

  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations required.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • High School diploma required with 2 years direct experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of computer systems: SAP experience highly preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Ability to operate a forklift & other common warehouse equipment.

  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • A lot of bending and twisting of moving various sizes of boxes up to 50 lbs.

  • Have to be able to do work in environment where you are repeating your physical task over and over for up to 6 hours.

  • Have to be able to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in shipment preparation preferred, including creation of a Bill of Lading using a Transportation Management System.
